time for a little rant:
as of wednesday, over 1800 american soldiers have died in iraq. the war is not even close to being over. it would appear that we need a few more soldiers. this is my appeal to the masses.
if you support the war, and you voted for bush because you support the war; SIGN THE FUCK UP! if you ever called someone who protested the war unAmerican because they disgraced what our soldiers were doing overseas, SIGN THE FUCK UP! if you think that even though president bush lied to the world and the american public to stir us to war that we are actually making our nation safer, SIGN THE FUCK UP!
yeah yeah, i know you put a flag in your yard, a yellow ribbon on a tree, you bought a magnetic sticker for your car too, maybe even a bumper sticker that says: god bless america, support our troops! what more could you possibly do? oh yeah, you could denounce anyone that brings logic into the discussion of war. verbally assaulting a few anti-war protesters would be a great idea too, after all they are why soldiers are dying.
here is what i really think:
if you support the war, and are old enough to sign up with the military; but you haven't you're a damned coward. SIGN THE FUCK UP OR SHUT THE FUCK UP. you are no longer allowed to be an advocate for something you would not do yourself.
i don't advoacte things i would not be willing to do. i'm not a coward that thinks vain and empty showings of patriotism actually mean something. i realize that a flag on my car won't win a war. i realize president bush is a lying alcoholic texan hellbent on bending the world to the will of his rich buddies. i mean, for fuck's sake we are MISSING 9 billion dollars that we have spent in iraq. this isn't overpaid money, it is MISSING MONEY!!! if clinton had pulled something like this he would have been publicly stoned, but when a jesus freak pulls it because god told him to invade iraq, everyone bends right over and grabs their ankles and feels glad they were part of patriotism.
well fuck that, and fuck supporting president bush. clinton liked about getting head, but no one died. bush lied about weapons of mass destruction in order to make him and his buddies rich, and over 1800 american troops died plus countless numbers of iraqis. anyone else tired of this bullshit.
